Everything you need to know before getting started.
Do I need any technical skills?
No. You fill in a short form about your practice and we do everything else: design, writing help, set-up, hosting and updates.
How long does it take?
Your website is usually live within 3 working days of receiving your details and photos.
Is there a setup fee or contract?
No setup fee. The monthly plan ($49.95 a month) has a 3-month minimum, because we design, write and set up your whole website upfront. After 3 months you can cancel any time. Prefer to pay once? The yearly plan is $499 a year, which works out to two months free.
Is the domain really included?
Yes. We register a new domain in your name, or connect the one you already have at no extra cost. If you ever leave, the domain stays yours.
What if the domain I want is already taken?
It happens a lot! That’s why we ask for three choices. We register the first one that’s available, and if none are, we email you a few similar options to choose from. Standard domains (.com, .co.uk and similar) are included; premium or unusual domains that cost more can be added for the difference in price.
What happens if I cancel?
On the monthly plan you can cancel any time after your first 3 months. Your website stays live until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Your domain is yours to keep and move wherever you like.
Can I change the colours or wording?
Yes. Before launch, we make changes until you’re happy. After launch, one change request a month is included: use the ‘Request a change’ form and list as many small edits as you like (text, FAQs, prices, hours, photos). Bigger jobs, like a new design or several new pages, are quoted separately.
Do I get a login to edit my website myself?
You don’t need one: we look after everything for you, so you just send us your changes. But if you like to make quick edits yourself, ask us and we’ll give you access to your own simple editor. You log in with your email and a one-time code (no password to remember) and can update your text, prices, FAQs, opening hours, photos and blog posts. The design stays protected, so your site always looks professional.
Do I need access to hosting or other technical accounts?
No. Hosting, security, backups, SEO and your domain set-up are all managed for you, so there’s nothing technical to log into. Your content and domain are always yours, and if you ever leave, we transfer the domain to you.
How do online bookings and payments work?
We connect a booking calendar (Cal.com) to your own Stripe account, so clients book and pay in one step and the money goes straight to you. Prefer bookings by phone or email? We simply switch it off.
I already have a website. Can you move it?
Yes. Send us the link and we’ll reuse your existing text and set up redirects, so you keep your Google ranking.
What’s in the social media kit?
Eight ready-to-post images made in your website’s design and colours: a profile picture, four Instagram posts (quote, tips, now booking and new blog post), an Instagram story, a Facebook cover and a LinkedIn banner. We create them with your name, services and website.
Will I show up on Google Maps?
Yes. We set up your free Google Business Profile with your services, hours, photos and website, so you can appear on Google Maps and in local searches like ‘counsellor near me’. Google sends you a short verification code, then you’re live. If you work online only, we set it up as an online service instead.
Can I get a professional email address?
Yes, as an optional extra for $6 a month: an address like [email protected] that works with your phone and computer. Just tick the box when you sign up, or ask us any time.
Can I see my website before it goes live?
Yes. You get a private preview link to check everything and ask for changes before launch.
